Information:
The objective of this shot was to comeup with a cosmic fly past sequence.
A sun and an orbiting planet are the scenes main elements. The sequence ends with
the planet's ultimate destruction
by an energy bolt.
The brief was just a text description with some rough sketches of what was to take place in the shot. Inspiration for the final look of this shot came from looking though image content from NASA and other astronomy sites.

All software running on Mac OSX• Photoshop
• Sound Track Pro
• After Effects
Tech Notes:
This sci-fi flyby shot was created in After Effects with nothing more then five still images to create the sun, planet and surrounding cosmos. The images were taken from a collection of royalty free textures which where manipulated in Photoshop. The energy strike and explosion were also created using various effects and filters in After Effects.
