Vortex
Information:
The brief was to create a high energy intro sequence in the style of Doctor Whofor a sci fi program called Vortex.
The challenge that this sequence posed was to recreate a Doctor Who style 3D vortex fly though, while being limited to using 2D elements created in After Effects.
Overall the idea was to have lots of colour and motion as the camera moves though the gaseous vortex while the names of the principal actors fly in to view.
Software Used:
All software running on Mac OSX• After Effects
• Sound Track Pro
Tech Notes:
A Doctor Who style programme intro created in Adobe After Effects. All the elements were generated as 2D planes in After Effects using various filters and effects. These were then arranged in 3D space to create a tunnel like effect. A camera fly though into the cloud rings and animated text finished the sequence off.
